Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

L2 Revenant (project operational team, reachable by Discord and forum). We operate from the European Union. We are not a company; we are a group of fans hosting a private non-profit Lineage II server.

2. What data we collect

• Account: username, email, hashed password.
• Gameplay: characters, progress, inventory, chat logs, connections (date, time, login IP).
• Forum: posts, private messages, signature, avatar.
• Donations: payment email and Stripe transaction ID. We do not store card numbers or CVV.
• Technical: IP, user-agent, fail2ban and nginx logs to protect the service.

3. What we use them for

• Operating the game and forum.
• Detecting abuse, cheating, prohibited multi-boxing, spam.
• Communicating important changes (maintenance, wipes, changes to these Terms).
• Complying with applicable law.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data to perform the service contract and to pursue our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse. Email for non-essential communications is based on revocable consent.

5. With whom we share

• Stripe (payment processor) — only payment data necessary to charge the donation.
• Cloudflare — CDN/DDoS proxy; sees aggregated HTTP traffic.
• Discord if you choose to link your account — only user ID and roles.
• We never sell, rent or transfer data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. How long we keep them

• Account and characters: while the account is active + 180 days after inactivity.
• IP and connection logs: 90 days.
• Donation transactions: 5 years for basic tax compliance.
• Forum posts: while the forum exists (pseudonymized if you delete your account).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to processing and request portability of your data. Write to us via Support or Discord with your account name and we will respond within 30 days. For complaints, contact your national data protection authority (in Spain: AEPD).

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (login session, language). We do not use advertising tracking or third-party analytics. The website may store your language preference in localStorage.

9. Security

Passwords with bcrypt, HTTPS connections, fail2ban and connlimit on game ports, encrypted backups. No system is perfect; if you find a vulnerability write privately to Discord first.

10. Minors

We do not direct the service to minors under 13. If a parent or guardian detects that a minor registered without permission we can delete the account on request.

11. Changes

We announce changes on the forum and Discord with 14 days' notice if they affect how your data is processed.
